Glass
Glass at Potter Around is very popular. Our workshops are led by Nancy Hamilton of Farrago Designs. Nancy works with fritz glass and uses fused glass techniques in her work, which she regularly exhibits and sells. We have pieces of Nancy’s work for sale in the studio including bowls, wallhangings, clocks and hangers.
Nancy’s daughter and grandchildren live in the village.
There are regular glass workshops and glass classes at Potter Around for both adults and children. Projects to date have included wall hangings, sun-catchers, coasters, photo frames and mirrors. Glass courses tend to run on Tuesdays (alternating between day and evening courses) and on Sundays. Generally, pieces are fired and ready to collect one week later. You can also arrange one to one sessions. You can book onto a class by calling or emailing us or booking online.
Children’s Glass Classes
Glass is a party option for children and forms part of the activities available on our Friday afternoon Kids Clubs and Holiday clubs. The glass will be cut for the children and the safety aspects of working with glass are carefully explained. This is a fun session and the projects the children make are ones you will be proud to exhibit.
