Potter Around

People love receiving a unique or personalised present. At Potter Around we aim to stock special unique pieces of work that would make great gifts or welcome additions to your home as well as jewellery and craft supplies. We stock cards, Fimo, glass, jewellery, painted pottery, paintings, soaps, Games Workshop miniature models, tools and paints and textiles.

And of course, we stock our own range of Kirknewton Pottery and often have a few of our trial designs on show.

We have recently launched our Potter Around online shop and are adding products all the time. It’s still embryonic, so please keep checking back. There is a same day despatch service for in stock non personalised itens,  a loyalty scheme and multiple purchases discounts. Details are available on the individual product pages.

At Potter Around we also stock unique pieces by our course leaders and other local crafters, for whom we also take commissions.

Jewellery by Michele Elder, who teaches our Adult jewellery workshops,  is on sale in our shop at prices from £3 to £30.

Our glass tutor, Nancy Hamilton of Farrago Designs, makes glass hangers, hangings, mirrors and lamps which are available at prices from £4 to £65.

The studio is also smelling fabulous since we introduced soaps, lip balms and shampoos made by local Lavender’s Green.

Increasingly popular are our signature plates. They are a great alternative to a retirement or anniversary, baptism or a wedding guest book.

Potter Around will paint a picture of your choice onto a plate leaving you to get the plate signed by all the well wishers or guests. We will then glaze and fire it for you.

The architectural buildings on our plates are painted by Karen’s dad, Alfred Marshall, whose work in on display in the studio.

Baby and Children’s Crockery Sets

Grown ups remember fondly the special cup and plate they had as a child. We love our hand painted personalised children’s crockery sets – there is a split plate and the choice of a double handled or a single handled mug. Pictures of our Teddy Bear set and Woodland Set  (available in pink or blue) are set out below – but if you want something else, please let us know and we will gladly paint a special piece for you.
